Brazil's federal oil firm Petrobras has launched a tender to hire well abandonment services in shallow waters in the Campos and Santos basins.

The wells are connected to the PNA-1 and PMLZ-1 platforms in the Namorado (Campos) and Merluza (Santos) fields.

The tender documents are available via procurement site Petronect, under reference number 7004428020.

As BNamericas reported previously, Petrobras plans to start disconnecting the subsea lines from the PNA-1 platform in the first half of 2026.

The unit is expected to be removed in 2032. It will then be dismantled and recycled, "following guidelines for the sustainable disposal of vessels, at a location yet to be defined."

Both Namorado and Merluza have been out of operations since 2020, with decommissioning plans currently under analysis by watchdog ANP
