The security of industrial environments is facing a worrying escalation. According to the 2024 “State of Operational Technology and Cybersecurity” report, prepared by Fortinet, 73% of organizations reported intrusions affecting their OT (operational technology) systems, up from 49% the previous year. An even more alarming figure is that 31% of companies suffered more than six attacks in the last 12 months, almost tripling the number recorded a year earlier.

The increase in these incidents reflects an increasingly critical reality for sectors such as energy, manufacturing, mining, and logistics, where operational technologies (OT) are essential for productive continuity.
