Paraná water firm Sanepar unveils US$2bn capex plan

The board of Paraná state's water firm Sanepar approved a capex plan worth 11.8bn reais (US$2.03bn) for 2025-29.

Of the total, 2.36bn reais will be invested next year; 2.44bn the following year; 2.25bn in 2027; 2.25bn in 2028 and 2.50bn in 2029, the Brazilian company said in a statement.

In terms of areas, Sanepar will invest 4.53bn reais in the water segment and 6.60bn in the sewage segment, while the remainder will be invested in other initiatives.

Sanepar recently signed PPP contracts to advance sanitation projects, and it plans to invest 1.44bn reais in existing PPPs.
